I’m White Eyes (AKA Dan), and I’ve been crafting my dark unique sound for over a decade in the southern UK countryside and have since become a household name of the extremely niche genre of deathstep and minatory.
Heavily influenced from all spectrums of angry and technical music; I weave together dubstep-specific elements like searing distorted bass sounds from Minatory, chest-thumping ‘machine-gun’ sound design of Deathstep and some of the best snares in the game. I also incorporate elements of metal with my own extended-range guitar playing, metal drum programming and sometimes working with extreme vocalists. To stand above the rest of the crowd, I’ll bring in elements like cinematic orchestration, epic choirs, heavily processed foley and ominous atmospheres.
With my dedicated fan base, I’ve collected well over one million streams across Youtube, Spotify and Apple Music, with tracks like Legion, Decimation and Scourge boasting impressive statistics. I’ve collaborated with established producers like KROWW, MOTH, Havel, Automatik, Misfit Massacre and many other smaller artists that are now thriving. I’ve released tracks on well known labels like Crowsnest Audio, Interval Audio, Full Flex Audio, Abducted Records, Ultragore, Plague Born as well as self-releasing three albums and a few EPs. I’ve been featured on well known music reviewers channels like JOAT and Nawtystep, as well as being interviewed at length for ‘The rise of Deathstep’ book by Sushma Biswas.
